Banana Chews (BR)

This delightful little treat is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. Its consistency resembles taffy; chewy, sweet and oh so good! You may choose to make a bigger batch. If you see ripe organic bananas on sale, it would be a perfect time to load up to make delicious treats for the family (or hide them and keep them for yourself).

Raw Banana Almond Chews with Miessence BerryRadicals antioxidants

Banana ChewsIngredients:

5 ripe organic bananas
½ cup organic shredded unsweetened coconut
½ cup raw almond butter
1 tablespoon BerryRadical

1 – Incorporate all ingredients in food processor at low speed for 3 minutes, scraping the sides a few times.
2 – Pour one tablespoon of mix to form “cookie-like” shape on dehydrator sheet. It will make approximately 36-38 cookies
3 – Set dehydrator at 105-115 degrees (if you would like the ingredients to remain raw, do not set the heat higher than 115, some even suggest 105 degrees to be on the safe side).
4 – Dehydrate for approximately 22 hours, depending on thickness. Flip the chews and dehydrate for another few hours until ready (chewy, sticky but not wet). Approximately 24 hours in total.


Tip: Store in a container in the fridge or freezer to keep longer. Thaw before consuming.
